11 Schools in East Jakarta Prone to Flood

East Jakarta Education Sub-Department Regional II recorded, there are 11 schools in the area which are prone to flood. Commonly, those schools are in basin area or water channel around them are malfunctioned.

Head of East Jakarta Education Sub-Department Regional II, Ungkadi stated that those 11 schools are  SDN Cililitan 03, SDN Cawang 03, SDN Batu Ampar 05, SDN Cipinang Melayu 09 dan 10. Kemudian SMAN 113, SMAN 9, SMAN 99 serta SMPN 257 Ciracas, SMPN 49 Kramatjati and SMPN 126 Kramatjati.

"Mostly those schools are in basin area and the channel is narrow. So that when raining the water inundates the schools," he disclosed, Wednesday (11/18).

S. Jakarta Alerted Portable Pumps at Flood Prone Areas

To prevent unwanted things, his side will keep monitor all flood prone schools. So when flood hits, early action will be taken right away. Then studying activities will still keep going, even has to join in other school.
